Charleston, South Carolina is where the Civil War began.Ý Confederate
troops took over Ft. Sumter at the mouth of the harbor and were later
shelled by Union ships, the first shots of the war.Ý South Carolina was
the first state to secede from the Union.Ý It's a wonderful place.Ý Seems
like another country.Ý Palmetto trees, a large historic district, but
enough decay to keep things honest.Ý Stables for a horse-drawn carriage
company were right next to a multi-level parking garage, struck me as
ironic. It was very hot.Ý I'm definitely going back when I have more time
to explore (and golf).

The Music Farm was a big, open place, old, brick, cavernous.Ý There was
lots of room up front, as most of the crowd was happy to hang back by the
bar.Ý Suited me fine. The boys weren't on stage till around 11:45 pm. The
backdrop was great, a large painted mural depicting the delapidated
remains of a brick building through which a moonlight seascape was
visible.

Quotes:
After the second song, Gord took off his acoustic guitar and said:
"I'm done wrestling the cobra.Ý I'm gonna concentrate with both of my
hands and try and kill all of you."Ý Later in the show he seemed to
smilingly shake off an offer of the instrument by an offstage roadie.

Before Flamenco: "This is presently our most beautiful song."
Before Put It Off: " I saw Satan last night.Ý He only said one thing: 'Put
it off.' "

Paul Langlois was not looking particulary healthy.Ý But his singing was
right on.
Johnny - fucking guy works hard, especially on butt's wiggling.
Rob - changed guitars after each of the first 3 songs, and again several
times during the show.
Gord Sinclair - that guy *is* bass.Ý Seemed to relish his singing duties
on Gift Shop.

TATH artwork screensavers were available for sale. ($10 - US).
Lots of people were taking photos.
Apparently Clarissa is from Chapel Hill, NC.

Girls (and boys), common sense dictates that sandals are best worn at the
beach.
