Wow.  What a great show.  Well, I was slacking on Monday, so you didn't get
much of a review or setlist out of me.  But I was on top of shit last night and
I got me a setlist all written down along with some comments.  So I'll give it
a shot.

First the setlist:

Fireworks
700 Ft. Ceiling
Poets
Grace, Too
Thompson Girl
Save the Planet
Giftshop
Something On
Flamenco
Membership
New Orleans is Sinking
Emperor Penguin
100th Meridian
Fire in the Hole

Encore:
Bobcaygeon
Nautical Disaster

Alright, this show was just awesome.  The setlist rocked, this is the second
show I've ever seen, and both sets have closed with Fire in the Hole.  I gotta
say that this song is fantastic as a closer.  It just absolutely blows me away.
It's definitely a way to get everyone riled up before the encore.  And then
there's Fireworks as an opener, which, just left me in awe.  I love this song,
and the opening energy is just fierce.

The whole band seemed to be in a pretty damn good mood (but how can you not be
after spending five days in Boston:).  Gord S. was particularly enjoying
himself, bobbing up, down, and round and round.  He hardly ever stopped
grinning.  Gord D. was completely hamming it up during the early part of the
show, and then again later towards the end.

The first major rant came during New Orleans.  He started on about the
Mountains of Busch.  How Busch was their beer and they were going to take out
Bud because they had stolen their song.  He then started rambling about how
drinking beer while underage causes zits.  "That and potato chips.  Those two
things."  And then he said something along the lines of when you're thinking
about sex, "not that I'm thinking about sex, but when you're thinking about
sex...then a long pause...think about blackheads."  Then they rocked the shit
out of the place before jumping back into the song.

After Emperor Penguin, while the guys were switching instruments, Gord belted
out a line or two of "I believe in magic."  I didn't get to see Emperor Penguin
on Monday, and I was disappointed by that to say the least.  I was hoping to
hear it last night, I did, and I was amazed.  This song is fantastic live.

We got two rants during 100th Meridian.  The first started with about 2 minutes
of Gord pretending to be driving a truck.  Finally he started off with
something about the gas pedal breaking and I lost him from there.  The second
rant started about the "sound of laughter" and how it was good to wake up to in
the morning.  After that I lost him again.

It was nice to have a little more space last night.  I think they stoppd the
number of people they let in at 200 instead of the usual 250.  There was
definitely a noticeable difference in personal space.  The crowd was into it,
singing loudly at all the usual songs, but seemed to be lacking just a little
bit energy, at least compared to Monday night.  And other than the annoying
drunk girl who kept barging her way through the crowd to get from the stage to
the (bathroom probably) back, and then back up to the front; and the group of
people to the right constantly shoving up against us to take pictures (pictures
of themselves, not the band), the crowd was pretty cool.  Sorry about that,
just my little rant.  Anyway, the show was incredible and I can't wait to see
them again in a week and a half.

Just a shout out to Lindsey and Gerald, without who's help neither of these
shows would have been possible.  Thanks alot you two.  I'll catch you all
later.  Feel free to add to the review anyone.  Buh-bye.
