nice show other than the crap crowd and the horrible mixing.  Please Hip get a new sound crew!!, just cant hear baker over the thundering drums and bass
Everytime you go, boots, daredevil, and sitting next to a drunk high fat guy

I just returned home from the Buffalo show. No great surprises as far as setlist but a solid show.  Highlights for me were Everytime You Go, Last of the Unplucked Gems and Flamenco.  Flamenco usually does very little for me but it got me tonight.  I had 5th row tickets.
Funny moment - Gord introduces Tiger the Lion and then they break into Twist My Arm. After Twist My Arm they then played Tiger the Lion
Gord sounded a little hoarse.

Well just got back from the Buffalo show, eating some Lucky Charms. Highlights included Everytime You Go, Fire In the Hole, Unplucked Gems, Daredevil. Still don't like Tiger. It should be called the bathroom song. The "can" was packed during that song. Also, was Chris Brown doing a bit of DJ scratching?? I noticed it during NOIS and a few others. It seemed to bring another element to the songs. And how many drumsticks does Johnny go through a night??  He must have broken at least half a dozen. Man can he beat those skins. Finally, for those of you who were there and were wondering if they were gonna play longer, they wanted to. At least I think so. My friend knows someone who works in the ticket office and she said the Hip asked if the union would be able to work overtime. They ended right at 11:00 so the union must have said no. That's why we only got 1 encore, and only two songs worth. I was a bit disappointed that there were only 2 songs from Fully. I was hoping for Locked or 50 MC. Oh well, can't complain. Very tired, must sleep.  So here's the setlist (in no particular order, but I'll try):

so, i thought the show rocked. flamenco was really smokin', and whatever gord was singing during hundredth sounded great. actually, it was all great. funny that engaged was on the setlist twice and still didnt get played. i bet we'll get it tonight. everytime you go, again...awesome. and hey, chico, i thought of you during twist my arm. so, all in all, good fun. but... you see, we had this one security guard and this one usher. who thought it would be A-OK to check our tickets every 10 minutes. even though we were in our seats, and we hadn't moved. and lean in front of us to tell someone 8 people deep in the row to put their cigarrette out. at one point i yelled at them both. told them to leave us the fuck alone.(any of you who know me know that wasn't a very "me" thing to do) but jesus. i pay 30 bucks to see/listen to the hip, i'd like to be able to do just that. maybe i'm wrong. anyway, i'm over that. just needed to get it off my chest. now, on to the better of the 2 shows i went to last night. i went home, and had a dream that i was at the show again. only this time, i could see the stage, and it sounded good, and at some point( i think greasy jungle) gord ran out into the audience, sat down on the floor, and asked if we wanted to hear a story. asked us to gather 'round. so we did, and i was right up front. it was like kids in kindergarten listening to a story. so, he tells us this story about rabbits and eggnog, and then goes running off. somehow before the end of the dream, i ended up playin ping-pong with him, only, ya know when youre playing ping-pong and the ball is smashed in on one side,so it won't bounce right? just like that, it was. so, i poured my heart out to him over ping-pong. he seemed to have some really good advice, though i
can't remember any of it now.
and just like that...he's gone.
hoping the security tonight willl be better,
