-- It was a night for opening tracks; "Grace, Too", "Courage", "Poets",
and "Gift Shop" all made their way into the set.
-- Gord D., bless his heart, should probably not try out for rhythm
guitarist anytime soon; I think he just strums at his whim sometimes!
Is his guitar even plugged in? I never even heard it throughout the
show.
-- The number of high-fives exchanged showed a marked increase from
past shows, while the number of hockey jerseys remained thankfully stable.
-- Meatheads abounded, further elevating my distaste in drunk tall
overexcited muscular jerks who manage to spill beer, push and shove other
concertgoers, and threaten to start fights with anyone who complains.
-- Fortunately one of said meatheads was personally ejected by Gord
D. himself, who cut a song short to point out the fellow to security; I
think he had thrown a punch at someone up in the front.
-- Age range was from folks in their 50s grooving out to a little girl
I saw who couldn't have been more than 11. Came with Mom, natch.
-- Johnny Fay is the most determined-looking drummer in the business.
