The Hip rolled into Seattle last Sunday Night. Today is the first day I have some hope
that I may hear normally again.

When I arrived I had some tickets to sell and saw a guy with a sign, "need tickets". I
told him I had a ticket and as he walked up I was mobbed by no less than 25 people.
Crack dealers have less business on a street corner. I also had 3 tickets I had promised
to a gal from BC that I had never met, and was to hook up with at 7:30. The crowd seeing
this kept saying "what about those 3 tickets?" For the next 30 minutes I was followed
like I really was a crack dealer. A round off boo's was heard when th BC folks showed
for their tickets.

As the show opened the Hip walked on the Moore stage to a room that must have been 90 +
degrees. Gord picked up his guitar and said, "This song is for NBC, waterboy to the
world", as they opened with Giftshop.

I didn't keep track of the set list, sorry. I did notice that Gord played guitar a lot
more than he did at ARA last summer. Overall I think the heat and long road trip are
taking their toll. The boys at times looked tired and of course hot. They still rocked
major league and seemed to pick up the pace at the end.

Later,
