hey guys,
i just got back from the concert and actually watched the hip's set again on the much music,  anyways it was # 5 for me and i loved it.
 highlights:
 the chicken dance
 lovers in a dangerous time
 10000000000 $
maybe i'll got to new york city
 courage
 free world

this might bug some people but i really didn't enjoy alanis,  thought she was pretty bad and so did the people around,  actually there were a lot of people sleeping when she was singing.  they actually cheered when she said it was her last song.   i had a great time though,  i hope everyone else enjoyed it as much as me.

Hello All,

Would have posted when I got in, but we didn't get back to Kingston until 4:30 or so, so it was straight to bed.  This quite possibly was the best concert I've seen all year; I mean, how could it really not be. Four of the premier Canadian artists to come out of the 1990s, and probably the most underated of the Canadian Legends all on stage together at once...

As for the sets, I was not really disapointed with what I saw.  Alanis was iffy, because I'm not really an Alanis fan, but I can't say she did a bad job; she was just in a bad position.

BNL and OLP were phenominal.  The Ladies did a set of singles, while OLP did throw in a new song as well as a cut from the last album.  It was nice to hear Naveed to start.

I couldn't believe that it was just Bruce Cockburn up on stage.  The sounds he made from one guitar blew me away.  I hope at least some of his set was taped.  Steve Page came out to duet on Lovers In A Dangerous Time.  And during Rocking In The Free World, he played guitar like a madman.  Bruce is the thing

What can be said about The Hip that hasn't already been said.  I think the last time they played was in March, at a company benefit, and you know, they showed really no signs of rust at all.  I think everyone in the crowd started to sing, "he said I'm Tragically Hip" at the opening of Grace, when for the first time in ages he used the real lyrics.  He was very excentric, and always telling people to go into their pockets, or their parents wallets.  It was great.  I think the cheer for New York in Flamenco was louder than the cheer for Toronto during Bobcaygeon, which says something.  I was surprised, quite plesently to hear Fully
Completely tonight, which is one of my favourite live tunes.  So much energy.

I'm glad they're back  -- and I'm pumped for all the money I'm going to spend on them next year.

I took down the setlists for BNL, OLP, and the Hip... The OLP might be a little out of order, but the other two are set.

 BNL -- It's All Been Done/Old Apartment/Pinch Me/Falling For The First Time/One Week/Call and Answer/$1000000/Brian Wilson

 OLP -- Naveed/"Under Attack" (I think this was a new song... anyone know different?)/Starseed/Life/Superman's Dead/Right Behind You/Theif/Clumsy

 TTH -- Grace/Music/Flamenco/Poets/Gift/Bob C/Courage/Fully/ABAC

That's all from me... sorry for being long winded... off to class

 Cheers,

 PB
