House of Blues, New Orleans, Louisiana  October 30th, 1998 review by C. MacKenzie via alt.music.tragically-hip

What a great show The Hip at HOB!! The crowd was predominantly Canadian, our
own rendition of the National anthem before the Hip got to the stage
attested to the fact.

The band sounded great everything about the show was top notch. The opening
act ( The Derek Trucks Band) was extremly talented but still rough around
the edges. He is one of those young kid blues/slide guitar whizzes.

I haven't seen so many Canucks since I was last home. Every Canadian in New
Orleans was there last night.

Top to bottom a first class show !! Thanks Hip for bringing a little bit of
Canuckism to the South.
