I was at the St. John's show last night (Dec 16) and it was amazing. It's my first time seeing the Hip, and it blew me away.

Downie was extremely animated the whole night. They started with Poets, and he was twisting his body into really strange positions as he danced through the whole song. The next song was My Music at Work, where he danced again (not quite as extreme, though),  got up on his monitor and lifted the mic stand up as he sang. I don't know if it was just me, but was almost sure he was singing "meow" instead of "let me out" in Locked in the trunk... I  never realized how much Gord ranted on during songs. I'd say he was talking in over half of the songs (whenever he had a chance). Whenever he wasn't playing guitar, Gord was dancing or acting to illustrate the lyrics for us.

The boys were perfect on guitar, and Johnny was awesome on drums. Kate sounded great when we could hear her, but her mic should have been louder. She soloed on Thugs, and the crowd went nuts.

I didn't write down the setlist, but highlights were Little Bones, where the crowd was deafening, and Long Time Running, where they almost sang completely over the music. The crowd sang some of Courage (I think), which was another one of the best of the night. I was also pretty impressed with the lights. Overall, a great show with a great crowd.
