Wetlands, New York, New York July 21st, 1998 review by Dave Kaufman via Henhouse mailing list

Hi hip fans!

Sorry to be writing about a show that took place three weeks ago, but my
computer has not been functioning until today. Anyways, I took a bus
from Montreal to NYC to see the first hip show at the wetlands, and it
was incredible. I got to the place at 4:00, and about an hour later Gord
and Johnny come walking up the street, they chatted, signed autographs,
it was great. About twenty minutes later the other Gord, Robbie and Paul
walked up and talked to us as well. They all went inside and then did
their sound check (which we could hear from the side door!) the played
inevitabillity of death, grace too, chagrin falls and a few others.) The
show was great, and it turned out that i was standing beside Mark
Vreeken most of the show. After the show he gave me the setlist. here is
how it goes:
Something        Grace
Planet               BobC
Gift                   NewO
Thompson
Spring
Poets                Penguin
ABAC              Bones
Membership
Vapour
Meridian
Rules
700ft.
Nautical
Fireworks

Actually, bobcaygeon was switched w/ escape is at hand for the
travelling man, but then re slotted in place of emperor penguin. I just
wanted to tell everyone what an incredible night it was and thank the
fans and the hip for making it an unforgettable experience.
