THREE PISTOLS

Ý This show was simply jaw-dropping.Ý a very different set from the night before in vegas, and a very welcome and rocking version of pistols to close the night.Ý I saw a few guys in vegas with backstage passes whom i begged to ask the band to play pistols in phoenix, and evidently one of them was sober enough to remember.Ý My first pistols ever, and it was off the hook.Ý I have never seen gord sinclair's feet leave the ground before. He likes to rock out during the harder tunes like pistols, but this time, he was airborne on at least two occasions.Ý the band just brought the house down.Ý The celebrity theater has a walkway that leads to the front and center of the stage which is where bands enter and exit the room.Ý As the band left, we high-fived etc, and johnny just tossed his sticks on the floor of the walkway.Ý a guy across from me snagged one and so did I.Ý Following that experience, i hung around and nabbed a setlist, explaining to billy ray that the boys played pistols for me (or so I'd prefer to think) and that it would rule to get a setlist.Ý he gave me gord downie's, which looks totally different than the others.Ý his has guitar chords listed next to the songs he plays his accoustic on, and someone other than the usual setlist writer writes his setlist out.Ý here's a scan of it:

anyway, we had a very long and tiresome drive back to salt lake today, but making the trip to phoenix was very much worth it.Ý These past four shows have been amazing.Ý Anyone with shows coming up are definitely in for a big treat.Ý the new stuff is coming off very, very nicely live, especially ready, jet, tore up and dire wolf.
