The "Gordisms" were actually really audiable in the lawns.Ý Quite the
party up there tonight.Ý Far better than I was expecting.
Ý
Another solid set.Ý 35 different songs played, out of the 44 done over
the two nights.Ý Long Time Running quite possibly was the highlight of
the two night stand.
Ý
See you in the fall, probably at Massey :)

Holy crap!!!!!!!!!!!! All I have to say is totally spectacular.Ý They
really mixed it up compared to the first night.ÝÝ There were so many surprises
and Gord was right on key.Ý The crowd down on the floor was really great.Ý
I saw a buddy I waited in line with for Lee's Palace tickets back in February
and I saw him at the Toronto Premier show as well.Ý I poked him on this

Hi all...Setlist for night 2 (Thanks PB!) My thoughts as well...
Silver Jet (w/Cookie Factory as an outro)Ý (Cookie...very cool!)

early with all the momentum going)

Bob C (WOOO! Gord said "Toronto!" ;)
Nautical (Nice)
Fireworks
Good Life
Meridian (Is life all about forgetting?)
Something On (It's true, it's you) (And you and you)

Poets (Swim, not to me, not to him, swim!)
Dire Wolf (Quickly moving up my IVL fave list)
Locked (Always well received)
Ready (OMG....absolutely *KILLED* the crowd)

by someone who almost got a brutal beating...;)

All Tore Up (Uh oh someone fire up the oxygen...were losing them again!)

New OÝ (My g/f who isn't a huge Hip fan and was graciously invited/kidnapped
to her 4th and 5th Hip shows loves these two songs so that was very nice
indeed)
All in all I was very happy with our lawn seats for the 2 nights...I'd
never been to the Amp b4 and was pleasantly surprised at the very decent
sound we got out of it.Ý Much louder and boisterous crowd for night 2 (Friday
of a long weekend of course it would be)Ý Loving IVL and the cuts played
last two nights...find it funny when crowd dies down for the new stuff
though.Ý And I don't want to be guilty of exaggeration but EVERY SINGLE
PERSON IN THE THEATRE stood in a trance for Are You Ready, arms stuck to
their sides, mouths sewn shut...well maybe not every single one but man
did it seem it ;)Ý And Michelle made a cute observation that Gord S. seems
to try and give a little more on the IVL tracks and rocks harder...never
know for sure but I thought it was a cute comment from a non Hip freak
type.
OK I'm out...Later

Wow! What a great show! I think that was the best hip show I've been
to. I brought along a friend with me who had never seen the hip live or
even heard all their songs. He was so blown away!
The Molson Ampetheater is such a great venue because from no matter
where you are sitting you still have a great view and the sound is excellent.
I was surprised at the variety of songs that were played like only
one from TATH (*tear* no ABAC) and only one from M@W and UTH. GREEEEAAATTT
show though. Locked was amazing but I think Nautical and Long Time Running
definatly made up for the lack of TATH songs ;). Everything from In Violet
Light was right on. What a great night!
I only saw one Canadian flag and one Toronto Maple Leafs flag being
waved. There were a lot of drunken guys giving high-fives though, but that's
alright.
Now that I've been to the Molson Ampetheater, next time they play,
I know a great place to meet up with people (Roy and Sarah, once again
we havn't met!)
Watchmen were AMAZING!
The only thing bad about Friday night was everyone trying to leave from
the same exit. There's nothing like drunk people spilling their beer on
you and yelling "ARGOS!!!"

What an amazing night!Ý Didnít care much for The Dears but they did
have poor sound quality.Ý Watchmen again put on a great show, they were
really into it.Ý This was by far the best hip show I have ever seen and
definitely the best crowd, down on the floor there was no pushing or shoving
what so ever, everyone was just rockin out.Ý As for the hip, it was amazing,
silver jet is a great opener and the energy and momentum never died.Ý I
had never seen Rob that into it, I find he usually just stays in his position
on the right but at the end of M@W he was right in front of Johnny looking
at him rocking out.Ý Robby and Gord S. really played off each other too.Ý
The sound was awesome and Gordís rants were really audible.Ý Intro to Beautiful
Thing along the lines of ìYoure a wonderful crowd(cheers), this is like
a beautiful thing).Ý Is it just me or does Gord screw up the part in Nautical
about the dream ending like everytime, I almost expected it, classic.Ý
Gord really has this whole ape walk thing going recently and its pretty
funny, also he took a couple of breaks taking a seat on his monitor.Ý Memories
of the New Years Day concert when Gord fell during Little Bones, I think
he just fell, anyways funny and also funny to see the rest of the band
laughing at him.Ý First time live for LTR for me and it was so amazing,
by far the best song of the nite.Ý From looking through recent setlists
was a little surprised to NOIS as a closer but it is such a great one at
that.Ý Was a little worried when they played 50MC as the end of the first
encore that they were done but nope.Ý Surprised not to hear ABAC, Gift,
and Courage but Springtime, LTR, and Beautiful Thing were great.Ý All in
all a great concert and nite, really wanted to hear 3 Pistols but what
can you do?Ý

The most fun I had at a Hip show to date. Ride down from Buffalo was
pretty smooth, only a few traffic delays...but we were listening to some
live shows the whole way down getting ourselves prepared for what I knew
would be a great time. When we arrived I was lucky enough to find a great
parking spot just inside the gates (which is why we got out of there in
only 5 minutes after). The amphitheatre was beautiful, the beer lines were
30-40 people deep right up until the Hip took stage. The Watchmen sounded
nice, the sun was just going down as they ended. Scattered "Hip, Hip, Hip"
chants filled the lawn section as the crowd started to get a little anxious.
Then the violet lights came on and the crowd erupted. The crowd was great
back on the lawn, people dancing and singing along all night...we were
dead center and a great view of the whole stage. The big screens of to
each side of the stage were very nice to see some closeups of the guys.
The lightshow aspect of the show was pretty cool, much better than NYC,
but the bigger venue would probably be why. The sound, I thought, was very
impressive, could hear almost every word. I was hoping the night would
never end, but it did and on a great note. Two encores was more than I
could ask for.
WHAT A SHOW!!!!!
