Just wanted to let everyone know that tonights show was great.  The band was really in to it.  At one point, Robby took a swig of water, looked up to the roof and sprayed a stream of water, letting it land all over himself.  Right on!!!!
Yawning or Snarling was a great duet with Kate.
On The Verge... WOW!!!!  Johnny played so hard and fast at the end I thought his arms were gonna fly off.
All in all a great experience, again.
Oh yeah,  no luck on Get back Again.

"..said im TRAGICALLY HIP!...."
==================================================================================
I've always wanted to say this:  that was my second Tragically Hip show in three days.

And this was a night to remember, for sure.  Such a great enthusiasm around us, maybe not as much as it was on the 3rd, but it was definetly a terrific environment.  The people were happy.  The band was on.

A really solid set.  A couple of songs I could have done without (I know I'll get heat for this, but Fifty Mission Cap might have been the lowlight for me tonight), and for sure a couple of songs I really wanted to hear tonight (Everytime You Go would have been the ultimate, right up there with Get Back Again), but oh well, this isn't something worth dwelling on.

The sets were pretty sweet though.  And the best part I think tonight was that Gord's rants were much clearer from where I was tonight.  I didn't catch all he said before Three Pistols, but I did hear 'finest beers' and 'trois pistoles'.  For those who don't know, Trois Pistoles is the greatest dark beer ever, brewed in Quebec, and hovers around the 9% alcohol mark. Only place I've ever seen it though is Dallas Texas.

Anyway, what a show, what a tour.  A great way to end the year.

Set 1 -- Poets/Music/Chagrin/3 Pistols/Tiger/Meridian/Down/Gift/Yawn (man does Kate ever rule)/Something/ABAC/Completists/IOD/New O

Set 2 -- Scared/Honey/Emp/Bones/Pig/Fever/Fireworks/Looking/To #4/Courage/Freak/Bob C/Locked/Verge

Enc -- Grace/Blow/50 MC

Great show.  It's a shame if this is the last time Chris and Kate join them on stage.

Merry Christmas everyone.  Happy a happy holiday season.

PB
==================================================================================
Man, what an awesome show.  My seats were on the left side of the stage in the stands.  Not the greatest, but it's not like I was in the nosebleeds. I'm not one to bring a pen to a concert and write down the setlist, but overall it was great.  Would've liked to hear Nautical, Wheat Kings and Cordelia (hey, a man can dream can't he?), but it was still awesome. Highlights for me: 3 Pistols (YESSS!), Yawning, Bobc, 50MC, On the Verge, Pigeon, Locked, hell it was all good.  Only lowlight was that there was no spotlight on Barilko's banner during 50MC.  Oh well.  That and the typical Toronto crowd.  The song is called Puttin Down, not Sittin Down.  'Nuff said.

Happy Holidays,

Kyle
==================================================================================
Awesome show!!!  My friends and I started out sitting in row 40 on the floor (the last row of floors), but all four of us managed to scam our way to the front section of floor seating, around rows 12 and 13.  It was SO sweet.

In the previous three Hip shows I had been to, I had never seen them start off the show with such energy!  Right from the get-go it was balls to the wall rockin'.  The first six songs seemed like a non-stop locomotive of music.  It really got the crowd goin early.  The rest of the set list was solid too.

Another thing I rather enjoyed was that Kate sang her bits in Yawning, Completists and Scared and she sang a little backup for a few others, but for the most part she just stood back from the mic and quietly shook her tambourine. I felt that on boots that I've heard from this tour that sometimes she took away from songs rather than add to them, so it was nice to see her take a back seat during this show.

One thing I couldn't believe was this guy, around 17 years old, in the row ahead of us, who was SLEEPING on and off throughout the entire concert.  Sleeping! Security had to wake him up at one point.  Now, I don't know if this guy was under the influence of something or not, but you don't go to a show, sit 11 rows back from the f*ckin stage and sleep through it!  I felt like smacking the guy!

Now that I've said that, I must say that this concert was the greatest one I've been to yet, with not one disappointing tune on the set list, and although they didn't play Get Back Again, I left the ACC tonight one very happy guy who had just received one of the best Christmas presents of all: a kickass show, in kickass seats by the greatest band in the world.

Hengelo
and these tour posters are pretty damn nice too
==================================================================================
Well,

Not the best show from my part of the arena.  From where I was, the show had a good setlist that was badly arranged, a lack of memorable moments, a lame crowd, and not the greatest sound.   Don't flame me, this was just from where I was in section 122.

This might be enhance by the fact that a women 15 rows back complained about my mic stand a half hour before the show even began.  I talked to her and she was not happy until my gear was packed up and in my bag.  I had a stand set up at 5ft, she was 15 rows behind me and elevated, she still said it was in her line of sight.  She complained to the attendants and I had to leave my stand at that level for the whole show. I decided to accept it and hoped for a good crowd that would allow for a
decent recording.  Of course, the two biggest yahoo's of all time where behind me.  One of the guys was more than drunk, my guess is a combination of alcohol with either coke or ecstasy.  This guy was doing Karatee chops with full sound effects and tumbling down the stairs the whole night.  I tried to talk to him.  I asked him to calm down a bit and I would send him a copy of the show.  He thought that was great but didn't understand the part about calming down.  By the end of the show, he had spilt is beer on me, flashed glow sticks in my face, hugged me and did a grand finale of knocking the wind screens off my mic, then
grabbing the entire stand and turning it so that it was facing him during the encore.  WHERE DO THESE PEOPLE COME FROM!!!!!

I am not usually the type to get very mad, however, if there wasn't securtiy all around I would have pummled this guy.  I have not checked to see what strange conversations turned up in the recording but as an example, he did an "attention K-mart shoppers" speach into my mics during intermission.

Overall, this show was one of my least favorites.  Chicago and Toronto #1 where up there near the top out of about 15 shows but this one was right near the bottom for me.

As for the band, I think Gord messed the lyrics once or twice and the show was absent of any of the feature songs such as Boots w/chris or Daredevil with the Hiccups pre-lude.

The setlist had a bad order with 3 major crowd songs such as Blow, Grace Too, and 50 Mission Cap all played at he very end.

It was nice to hear Locked, WMH and Toronto#4.

Overall, decent setlist with some good surprises but bad arrangement and dissapointing crowd.  Rants where completely inaudible where I was but that may just have been my seats.

Hope others had a better experience,
Jason

ps  Hope everyone has a happy holidays and be safe.
==================================================================================
The crowd were idiots where I was too. I'm used to seeing them in bars in Boston by this point, so the crowd's a bit older. Here, it seemed to be a bunch of 18-year-olds who can't hold their liquor. Literally -- during the intermission, one of the many frat-boy types behind me tucked his head between his knees and puked his guts out. The people beside me (an older couple) left at once; I stayed around, because he didn't get any on me, and I couldn't smell it for the stench of the cigarette smoke from the 17-year-old girls in front of me (who stood up for most of the show, but _sat down_ during Locked in the Trunk!). Then there was the fight that broke out in the aisle, and the drunken ass swinging from the railing, until security threw him out ...

I don't want to sound like an old fart here (although I certainly felt like one, particularly on the GO Train home), but cripes! Kids these days!

Still a good show -- first time seeing them in an arena setting, and while I'll take Bill's Bar over the ACC as a concert venue any day, it was interesting watching them with thousands of people, rather than hundreds.

Just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday, and throw in my 2 cents about last night.
Once again, it was nice to meet fellow Henhouser's at Casey's beforehand! As for the show, I wasn't blown away, but perhaps I expected too much. 3 Pistols was a nice treat. I really liked the second set, but the first one bored me somewhat. They got rid of the necessary 3 songs (NOIS, 100th and ABAC) in that set, so there were more pleasant surprises in the second set. Wild Mountain Honey, Toronto # 4, Locked and 50 MC being my personal highlights.
Tried video-taping the show, but gave up. Man...it's hard! My hat's off to Nicole and the other videotapers who have the patience and talent to make decent video's of the shows. A tripod would have made things easier, but no room.
The fans in our section were decent. Into the show and despite there being a lot of drunks, nobody was causing any major problems. One guy slept through the entire concert...man!
Who was responsible for the GET BACK AGAIN sign on the floor? Good effort - too bad it didn't work. Oh well, maybe next time! The drive home to Havelock was treacherous, to say the least, but we made it safe and sound and I hope everyone else did too!
Til next time,
James
==================================================================================
the band was amazing, yos & otv was incredible - but what was the deal with the crowd? half of the people around me were sitting most of the time, some even left before the second set was over. Aside from the crowd though, it was an amazing night, definatly one of the best shows ive been to.

Blah.  Blah - can't formulate sentences properly.

Couple things about last night's show.  First I want to say that I saw the most amazing thing.  I was down on the floor, Row 29, and behind be a couple of rows back was this dude all decked out in red with one of the red Hip Jersey's and a Santa Claus beard.  I think it was him (?) and his friends that were handing out burned CD's of live hip.  They bought one of those stacks of 50 disks, and had taken a mix of live stuff and burned them onto discs and even made labels with a track list and cool pic of Santa with Gord's face.  I ran into this crew twice, once in my seats when they asked me to hand a CD to another guy in front
of me who had a Santa hat on and once again after the show when one of them approached me to give me a disc.  I already collect bootlegs, so I gave the disc to a friend of mine who was her first time ever seeing the Hip.  I want to say thanks to those dudes, for putting me in a great f*ckin' mood last night.  Just made me glow thinking about the spirit of giving and christmas and all that.  And to think that someone would put together a mix, burn it and design labels.  It amazes me.  If you guys are reading this at all - thanks.

As for the show - It wasn't the best Hip show I've seen, but it was pretty good.  I agree with showtrader, in that the setlist was decent but poorly arranged.  I think opening with poets was a bit of a weak move, and then following it up with Chagrin a couple of songs later made for a slow start to the evening.  That being said, the second half of the show just blew the balls of the first half.  Gordie was loose as ever, even more so than the first half or the entirety of the December 3rd show.  Some real gems coming out, including ON THE VERGE and Pigeon Camera.  The second half just kicked......  and I was really pleased
that played Locked.

Anyway, that's all I have to say - just wanted to give a 'shout out' to the boys with Christmas spirit!

Hey folks...

Thought I'd pen a few lines concerning the Toronto show last night... I have a few thoughts & comments on it.  Thanks to my buddy Tim I was able to get a last minute ticket on the floor, 36 rows back on the right.  I had my red 'away' TTH jersey on for the first few songs but started to overheat (right around Chagrin Falls), so off it came.

I took my Nikon and recording equipment in with me, but some lovely security guard hell bent on enforcing every little rule raised a ruckus about my camera, and after exchanging a few lines with him I opted to run back to the car and deposit said equipment in the trunk.  I'm sure I could have gotten through with the recorder, but the thought of missing the first few songs cuz I'm making another mad dash to the parking garage didn't hold anything for me.  Once in our seats I see some chick walk by with a fuckin' tripod.... aargh....

The guys in the row directly behind us were piss drunk from the word go.  Luckily they were too trashed to make a lot of noise, so I didn't really mind.  Other than that, the crowd around us was pretty good... was a really nice, polite couple to my right who seemed to have a really good time.  Before the show even started one of the drunks behind us passed out and laid down on the seat beside him, much to the chagrin of the poor guy who had the ticket for that seat!  Thankfully some people
made a bit of room for the guy displaced by the passed out loser, and said passed out loser slept for the entire first set!

First set notes:

1.    Poets - "This is called: 'Aging Prospect'."

2.    My Music At Work - "Let's go to work, shall we?"

3.    Chagrin Falls - had a much softer intro which I mistakenly thought was Grace, Too.  The main riff was softened up substantially from last time that I heard CF live, and it sounded really nice.  During the intro Gord broke into some rant about a "small town" - you can bet my ears perked up!  Then, during the end of the song, he started a little story about a girl, part of which went something like: "she's leaving Montreal, travelling on the train, looking for the balance between her heart and brain".  Did *anyone* else hear this?  Can a taper help me out with what he said??  I'm curious...

4.    Three Pistols - Oh. My. God.  That's all I have to say.   :) First time I've ever heard them play it, and it just ROCKED.   :)

5.    Tiger The Lion - comments from the crowd around were surprising, in that they liked it a LOT.  I say surprising because usually the mass majority of a crowd at a Toronto show seems to be radio fans who hate anything they don't recognize, yet everyone loved this.  It was nice to hear...  :)

6.    At The Hundredth Meridian - ".. where the real test begins"... Everyone knows that TO fans love to hear their city mentioned, but hardly anyone noticed when Gord said, "I remember Buffalo... and I remember Toronto".  The jam during the song had some new song (??) from Gord about architects - I've heard other people from other shows comment on it here.

7.    Puttin' Down
8.    Gift Shop
9.    Yawning Or Snarling

Gord seemed to settle down for these songs, and rarely said an extra line.  Crowd loved Kate's part in Yawning, and Chris' organ (ahem) during the Gift Shop intro...

10.    Something On - introduced with a few comments about waiting at the train station - I smiled.   :)

11.    Ahead By A Century - oooh boy.... lovely song... Gord ended it with his version of a Christmas song, the only line of which I could really hear was "it's Christmas time"...

12.    The Completists - on the soundboard setlist I saw, they had scratched out TO#4 and threw this song in.  Nice song, but doesn't do anything for the crowd, sadly...

13.    Inevitability of Death - idiot quote of the night from an idiot fan to his woman, "oh yeah baby, this is off their new album that they're working on"...  cripes....

14.    New Orleans Is Sinking - yes, I think New Orleans is sinking... I love the song, BUT...  <insert inside joke here>... I think the boys are deliberately trying to change this song.  Take Gord for example - I haven't heard one show where he's sang the ending the same way twice... tonight he did a beautiful job of screwing up the crowd who was hell bent on singing the lines they knew... I just smiled.    :)

Intermission notes:  the lights come on, and everyone's entertained by Mr. Passed Out Drunk behind us, who hasn't moved since the first song. The guys with him amuse themselves by playing drunk volleyball - pushing him to one side, then back to the other... hahaha... jesus, what kind of loser drinks so much that they pass out?  The only thing that pissed me off was that I'm sure there would have been someome much more appreciative of his seat, and instead he uses it to sleep for a few hours.  And so I say to Mr. Passed Out Drunk - I hope you get a life for Christmas, buddy.  He didn't wake up until the second song of the
encore....

Second set notes:

15.    Scared - I got shivers during the last few lines...  :)

16.    Wild Mountain Honey - the band seems to be working a bit on this song, as I've noticed it has started to come into shape during this tour.  It's not quite as 'harsh' as it once was, and crowds seem to be growing more receptive of it.

17.    Emperor Penguin - Alright, it's no big secret that I LOVE this song... everyone knows it... but I do have one little thing to complain about (don't I always??).  They had originally planned to do Opiated here, and the same thing happened at two other shows this tour - they took out Opiated and inserted Emperor.  Now I do love Emp Pen, but dammit, just once I'd like to hear Opiated!!!!  Why yes, thank you, I would like some cheese with my wine.... hehe...

18.    Little Bones - "it's the end of another new year".... oddly enough, the crowd who was so into the songs didn't seem to really know this song, which makes me wonder if recent fans just aren't buying the earlier CDs...?  This idea showed up again later in the show....

19.    Pigeon Camera - WOW!!!  Gord worked some of the lines differently.... used a lot more he/she's and brought out the idea that the song's about a brother/sister sort of thing.   Musically, it kicked ass... so nice....  :)

20.    Lake Fever - hmm... crowd didn't seem to really be too excited about LF from where I was sitting... oh well... still a good song...

21.    Fireworks - oh yeah, a song about hockey and love, so very appropriate for this time of year.  I really enjoyed the lighting on this song - they had the pot lights above the stage arranged so they appeared to be three groups of fireworks above the stage.... tres bien!

22.    Looking For A Place To Happen - holy shit folks, I nearly passed out.  I had a small stroke when they played it in Sudbury a few weeks ago, and when I heard the intro tonight... look out folks, spastic Hipster on the loose!!  It was the second song of the night that I got to hear live for the first time, and DAMN! was it good!!  Again, the crowd didn't seem to know what song it was, or even what album... too bad for them!  I enjoyed it enough for everyone!

23.    Toronto #4 - singlehandedly THE most beautiful song the Hip have!!!  I listened spellbound by Gord's voice for the whole song... then, after he says the last line "Hello", he waved to the crowd... the crowd didn't do anything... so he waves again, and says hello... nothing from the crowd... and this went on, with Gord's voice sounding more and more hurt... more pained every time... I don't know if it was just part of the "act" or if he really was po'd that no one was waving... either way, it was beautiful how he worked it.

24.    COURAGE!!! - my absolute favourite Hip song!  I don't remember thinking a damn thing during this song - I just sang along and enjoyed it!

25.    Freak Turbulence - wow, kind of surprising... I sort of expected a slower song coming on the heels of Courage, but Freak just seemed to flow nicely, and some of the crowd's enthusiasm carried over into Freak and made for a nice time...

26.    Bobcaygeon - It's Toronto... the crowd loved it!  What did you expect??  hehe...

27.    Locked In The Trunk Of A Car - this was better than the last time I heard it, but still seems to lack a lot of the angst that I love...

28.    On The Verge - Oh sweet Jesus, could it really be???  I've been waiting to hear OTV for the twentysomeodd shows I've been to, and I finally get to hear it for the first time!!  And so I freak out, sang along with the crowd, and damn near passed out afterwards... but it was worth it!!!

Encore notes:

29.    Grace, Too - as with Montreal, I couldn't help but think that this song should only be played in two places during a Hip show... either as the first song of the show, or the first of the encore.  It really has a home in the encore... it's a nice way to keep the crowd rocking.... it certainly did that this time!!

30.    Blow At High Dough - so I'm thinking to myself as I check my notes... 30 songs... finishing with Blow... sounds about right.  Then as the song's winding down, I notice the usual burst of energy that accompanies the end of the show, and also noticed that Gord wasn't thanking any of the band or crowd.  This thought's still ringing in my ears when they start playing...

31.    50 Mission Cap - WOW... what a way to end a show, especially in Toronto.  Everyone was on their feet and loving it!!!!

Now I'm wondering, and maybe someone can help me with this... what was the longest show this tour??  I know the average has been in the 28-30 song range, but have they ever played 31 songs during a show on this tour, or any tour for that matter? What is the most number of songs they've played in one night???  Ren?  Rory?  anyone know??

Well, that's my two cents worth.  I have to start packing for a work trip to the US on Boxing Day - I'll be riding the rails from Norfolk to Atlanta to Louisville for the next few days.  Before I sign off for the day, I just wanted to wish everyone on a.m.t-h the happiest of holidays, and all the best for the new year (just in case I'm not home before then).  We're lucky to have the Hip, and we're even luckier to have each other to call 'fellow fans'.  :)

Merry Christmas everyone!

==================================================================================
Well it's sunday afternoon, and just getting back from T.O! What a great show they did lastnight at the ACC, this tour has been realy great, i have been realy impressed by the lightshows at the Copps Coliseum & the ACC show's. Allthough i loved the sound at Copps better, this show in T.O was awsome, what a great setlist. It ws like a dream, to hear "50 mission, Blow, Locked, Bones, Pistols"! Truely amazing!!! Gord was defintaly into the gig, i think he ranted on every song! I loved the Christmas tune! That was funny!!!
A few things that suprised me during the show were, that they opened with Poets. I guessed "Puttin' Down", and since it was there last stop on the tour, only 1 encore. I would have guessed 2 encores! Not that i am complaining about the great setlist they played for us!! Also they played a song i have been dying to hear live for a while, and that was 'Chagrin Falls". The back-up vocals are simply awsome!! Speaking of voices, what about Kates solo on Yawning & Snarling, and on Scared!!!! She is realy a gifted woman, and can realy get into the hip's songs. By far she does add something to the hip as back-up vocals. And then there is Chris, once again another great solo, a great intro to i thikn it was giftshop (if i can remember correctly).
Also, in the second set, when they played Looking For A Place, wow, many people went nuts, it's a great song, but i swear i saw people go more crazy to this song, then compared to New Orleans. Ohh well, it was a great treat to hear a few songs i haven't heard live before. I have been very impressed, and pleased with this special tour "An Evening With The Tragically Hip". They are truely a great band, and produce amazing song lyrics and the instrumental parts of a song. I wish the guys luck in the future!!! And wish too see them play again......
[SET #1] poets, music at work, chagrin falls, three pistols, at the hundreth meridian, puttin' down, giftshop, yawning & snarling, ahead by a century, the completists, inevitability of death, new orleans.
[SET #2] scared, wild mountian honey, emperor penguin, little bones. pigeon camera, fireworks, looking for a place to happen, toronto #4, courage, freak turbulence, bobcaygeon, locked in a trunk of a car, on the verg
[ENCORE] grace too, blow at high dough, 50 mission cap.
Also, another thing that was pretty cool to see, was Jonny Fay, when he broke his drumbstick, he tossed it over his shoulder, and had a new one alreading hitting the drum before the broken one hit the ground (well acually i don't know this, but it was fast, yah had to be watching to catch this). It has been realy neat to see the hip's most famous songs, like 100th meridian be played so high on the setlist. Also if anybody happen to catch  a magazine called 'EYE' it's on news stands outside the ACC, and over the T.O area. Well Gord D. was on the cover, and there was a very huge artical on Gord's solo album/, about TTH (future), the new album (M@W). I grabbed 6 copies (hehehhe) cool pic on the front!!!!! Hope everybody who attended had a great time!!! I think this show has to be one of the hip's best performances, they have ever played!!!!!!

Alrighty kids,
Since I'm calmer I dicided it would be a better idea to post my REAL review and thoughts on last night.

Lets start with Set 1:
Opening the show with Poets was a bit weird I thought.. I was expecting the classic Grace Too opener. Chagrin Falls was great! one of my fave tunes off Phantom Power. The beginning jamming freaked me out.. I thought it was Sherpa for a second! 3 Pistols was a treat :) I dont think I've ever heard a live version of that so it was nice. Im not a big Tiger the Lion fan but I
have to say, I love it live! I liked the lighting during that song. 100th Meridian was classic. I love it when you can hear the WHOLE ACC singing along to the songs :) gives ya goosebumps. I agree with who ever it was that said "Its Puttin Down, not Sittin Down" so true man! Its a good song! Gift Shop was the best! Another one of my faves off TATH. Yawning was AMAZING!! a real treat for me! I love that song, and I had the opourtunity to identify everysong too my friend Mike. He only knew Courage and 50 mission. I dont usually like Kate singing duets... i dont know, I dont like change i guess, but she was good. Ill give her credit during Yawning. Ahead by a Century... NEED I SAY MORE? Inevitability was good.. i would have liked to hear Impossibilium more though, but meh.. what ya gonna do! And then New Orleans... rockin out all the way! Good stuph for us Heavy Rock heads :)

Set 2:
Meh... Scared... I DONT like the duet Kate thing at all... Empiror Penguin was a treat also, good song live. LITTLE BONES!!!!! NEED I SAY MORE??? once again, good rockin out music! :) Pigeon Camera was AMAZING! fully amazing!
one of my faves off Fully. Lake Fever was excellent also, another one of my all time fave hip songs, and Mike enjoyed that allot, he hears it on the radio all the time, so it was one of the very few he could identify when Gord started to sing ;) Courage was AMAZING!!! the WHOLE ACC was singing alont to it, It was during that song that i ran out of camera film :( ohhhh
well.. Bobcaygeon is always good, best part: "THAT NIGHT IN TORONTO..." ahah the place goes nuts everytime! Locked was a surprise, well maybe not, i had a feeling they would play it, another one of my all time Hip songs ever, and On the Verge was GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTT!

Encore:
Grace Too????? hmmmm... thought that was a bit off to play it so late in the show... but GREAT tune! Blow.. OH YEAH! rocked out to that one, and the classic closer.. 50 mission.. I guess like everyone else it was a bit predictable.. Mike and I both called it before it started, we knew it was coming. Too bad that they closed Hamilton and Toronto with the SAME song.. oh well.. I think they shoulda closed it with like a rare song, like Another Midnight or somthing...

Thoughts and Opinions:
WHY THE HELL DOES ONE COME TO A CONCERT, GET DRUNK AND BAKED AND STILL DOESNT MOVE????? I mean honestly! The two guys beside me didnt move to the songs AT ALL! all they did was get up every 5 minutes and get some more beer.. every time i glanced over they were lighting up somthing. I mean if your just gonna get drunk and disturb the people around you, STAY HOME!

P.S. THe lighting was great, I really enjoyed all the colours and such, too bad i ran outa film though

Well, all i gotta say is what a show! I thought it was great! They seemed to piece the songs together perfectly with a good mix of new and old! My seats weren't too bad....i was in 105 up in the upper level though...not 105A. Yes Betty, i did see you but i didn't wanna look like a freak walking down and introducing myself.....ah well...there'll be other times

Set 1:
I was also surprised with Poets being played first, nonetheless it's a good song and didn't mind it being the starter.  I guessed the second song though, M@W was almost a given...i dunno why. Chagrin was a surprise, i love this song but wasn't expecting them to play it :) Same with 3 Pistols, it was great coming out with two rarer live songs right off....I love Tiger the Lion and seeing it twice live only made me love it more....the lighting was amazingly perfect....100th was smoking as it was in Hamilton, Puttin Down' is another fav of mine....loved it......Chris did another great job with the Gift Shop intro...too bad he won't be around to do it again (i'm assuming)......Yawning was great to hear live....Kate was great on the second verse.....Something On.....never heard it in Hamilton....thought it was smokin too.....ABAC.....what can i say....i looked for you betty but u were lost in amidst the sea of heads below me...the Completists was great......Inevitability of Death is one of my fav songs as of recently...i got lucky seeing it in Hamilton AND in Toronto.....and New Orleans was also as good as in Hamilton

Set #2:
I figured they would start the set with Scared seeing as in they played Wheat Kings in Hamilton but it was good live ......Honey was great.....Penguin ...another surprise....a great song and was great live.....Bones i figured was a given in this show....smokin....Pigeon Camera was a nice surprise.....Lake Fever ......Fireworks......Looking!! A great surprise....TO#4....amazing live also.....Courage.....Freak Turbulence.....a good live tune...i waited for it in Hamilton but never got it...it was good to hear.....Bobcaygeon.....Locked!! A great surprise and ON THE VERGE....i wasn't expecting this one at all.......:)

Encore:
I figured Grace would be played eventually.....Blow! AMAZING! and of course.....50 Mission Cap......i was disappointed they didn't have the spot on Barilko's banner....but it's always a good live song.....i was hopin for a 2nd encore being it was the last show and they were in Toronto....but it wasn't a problem that they didn't.....we understand guys.....you're tired and wanna be with the Family.....

Anyways....i figured out between the two shows they played something like 46 different songs......
the breakdown for the Hamilton Show was:
UTH - 3
RA - 1
FC - 7
DFN - 4
TATH - 5
PP - 4
M@W - 6

30 Songs! A good mix also of every album!

The Breakdown for TO was:
UTH - 2
RA - 3
FC - 6
DFN - 4
TATH - 2
PP - 6
M@W - 8

31 Songs! As you can see....more earlier and rarer live stuff than in Hamilton which was great to see!
They were both GREAT shows by an Amazing band and i don't i could be able to compare them to eachother! They were both great in their own way! Anyways, that's my review and can't wait till the next tour dates are released! :) (maybe i'm getting a little bit ahead (by a century) with that one)
Merry Christmas everyone!
