Another great show by the best live band in the world! GD played guitar on several songs, but was at the mike for most of the night. RB played many sweet solos and the rest of the boys were right where you would expect them to be. Possible new song tease during Meridian. Met some nice folks at the show, as well. Can't wait for tomorrow night.

A few comments on the show....

It's great, as always, to see the Hip at the venerable 9:30. The energy wasn't quite as high as I've seen in previous performances on this tour. There were a few sloppier than usual moments, too. The setlist contained alot of good songs (although 700 is usually my cue for a bio break!) but no real surprises.

I'd hazard a guess that after a night of rest, the boys will kick some serious ass tonite.

One interesting note....everyone at last night's show will recall just how f**king hot it was in the club (very unusual). Turns out
that Gord requested the club shut off the A/C because it was hurting his vocal cords. uh, huh.....bet the club sold alot more beer because of it.

By the way, the club is allowing full taping - audio and video. They're even allowing pro photo equipment. So let's document this show properly!!

Great show last night at the 9:30 club. What an awesome venue for my favorite band. If there are still tix left for tonight and you are within a few hours drive, think about making it. They went on about 10. If anyone has any venue questions or such, feel free to email me (I'm on digest so will be delayed getting henhouse messages). I really don't think there's a better place to see them unless it's in your backyard. In case noone else posted a setlist yet, here's what they played. I didn't write it down til later, so the order in the middle is a little jumbled as a result of brain fog. Only real surprise was 700' Ceiling (1st time this tour?) introduced as "I love the 9:30 club & it's 700' ceiling". New stuff was well-received. I enjoyed hearing Dire Wolf & Dark Canuck for the 1st time live. Tonight you'll probably hear Darkest One I suspect and personally I think that song rocks. Wish they would work Leave into some setlists.
