What a great show by the Hip tonight!
I went to the show solo ( most of my Hip friends are at the beach ). The first people I see at the show are my neighbors ( who I hardly know ). It turns out that Denise is from Canada and has been into the Hip since Up To Here. Her husband Kevin had never seen The Hip. It was her 7th Hip show. I'm up to about 23 I'd guess. Also another Hip fan named Chris was hanging with us, about 10 ft. from GD's mike, dead center. The show wasn't sold out. We even had elbow room tonight. I was disappointed in my town at first ( for not selling out, we were lucky to get a 2nd show ), but the show was more enjoyable in other ways ( easy to get a beer etc. ).

Post show a few of us hung out to say hello to the band. Dave & Brian from N.C. and Frank & Rebecca from Fla. Got to speak with Gord Downie for a sec. & get ticket signed. Also kudos to Mark Vreeken for excellent sound both nights and always. The Hip is only as good as the folks they keep around them, and they appear to have a very professional crew running a tight ship.
Peace,
