It’s been that long since The Toronto Maple Leafs won the Stanley Cup. Forty years ago today.
It’s good to see that Leaf fans don’t actually care about winning, as they continue to snap up tickets, paraphernalia and memorabilia at an alarmingly fast rate.
This coming from someone who is not a hockey or leafs fan. The only way to stop it is not support it.
The money is in the bank for the players win or lose. This is true in all the big professional sports. Most of them are TV shows instead of sport leagues. This way the audience identifies with the participants on a first name basis. Particularly true in basketball and nascar.
Again stop supporting if you want to see any real changes.
