Canadian Geographic Magazine Music Survey

Canadian Geographic Magazine: Surveys: CG chart toppers
Canadian Geographic is planning a special music issue that will hit newstands in Jan/Feb 2006. The stories will explore the “geography of music, from Bhangra in British Columbia to rock on, well, The Rock.”

Prior to publication, they are compiling a list of the “50 definitive songs about Canadian places. Whether they’re about city streets or mountainscapes; whether they’re country, opera, alternative or reggae — your suggestions will help [them] compose the ultimate geographical playlist.”

Bobcaygeon and Wheat Kings are the two Hip songs that instantly spring to mind for me. What Hip songs would you choose?
