This weeks clip is from a rehearsal before The Hip hit the road in support of World Container. MAv’s footage provides a front row view into the behind the scenes action fans rarely, if ever, get to see.

UPDATE: Fan Compilation nearing completion
Back in June I posted news of a compilation CD that Hip fan Rory was putting together to be released on The Hip Tracker. Well the fans have contributed, The Hip have contributed, and the project is almost finished. All we need now is some killer artwork to complete the package. If you’ve got an idea for the cover art, post the link to your artwork in the comments.
Total Album Sales
I am always amazed at how well The Hip’s back catalogue continues to sell. Fully Completely was certified Diamond earlier in 2007; I wonder how when Road Apples will pass that mark?
Do these numbers surprise you? Impress you? Concern you?

Up To Here: 1,000,000
Road Apples: 800,000
Fully Completely: 1,000,000
Day For Night: 600,000
Trouble At The Henhouse: 500,000
Phantom Power: 400,000

In Between Evolution: 100,000

Ouch!
TOURING: Syracuse & Rochester
Rumours of a November date in Rochester were amped-up with the “announcement” of a show in Syracuse at The Landmark Theatre. Nothing has been confirmed for Rochester, yet, but if history has taught us anything about touring, it’s that a show in Syracuse means a show in Rochester.

Personal Update
Sorry for the lack of updates lately – I got married on July 21 and the planning of the event occupied much of my time. (www.chrisandleah.com for anyone interested in more about our big day!)
I’m in the midst of editing three concert videos – Bala, Amsterdam, and Air Canada Centre – and should have the first of them completed and posted within a few weeks.
Thanks for sticking with us!
TheHip.com Lauches “Video of the Week”
Each week a new live video will be posted to TheHip.com. The first video, is from the Toronto, ACC show from February, 2007 and offers a unique, front row perspective. MAv has filmed a lot of shows from the front row, or other VIP areas, so this should be a great opportunity to watch The Hip from angles rarely seen by most fans.
