The Hip Tracker

The Calm Before The Storm?

What can we expect at the show next month in Kingston? Will the band be completely recharged and give us a show unrivalled in their history? Will we get a standard “greatest hits” set to appease the masses and invited guests… who most likely only know the radio hits? Will they break out some new tracks – songs they are working on for the next album?

My hope is that they play some rarities, play an oldie like “Smalltown Bringdown” as an homage to Kingston, and then bust out a new track or two… before filling the balance of the setlist with standards that will keep the crowd rockin’ from Gord’s first “Hello” to the minute the mic hits the stage to end the performance.

And who will the opening act(s)? Rumours have suggested that we might get a reunited Headstones (!!!!) but I doubt it. I’ll suggest that Sarah Harmer or The Mahones are more likely than The Headstones, but if Hugh Dillon and the boys do get back together it will be an even more special night.

The Hip Tracker

TTH: 2007-07-04 – Bala, ON

I’m most of the way through the editing process for this DVD and this pose by Gord D made me laugh out loud… any Hip fan out there with a high res digital of this pose, please send it my way.

.bg

There have been an alarming number of requests from users with email addresses ending in .bg for invites to thehiptracker. I’ve emailed most of them back asking why they want an account but none have responded.

Before the hack we were averaging 25 new members from .bg addresses per day! And none of them ever uploaded or downloaded anything.

Can anyone explain why thehiptracker would be in the comments on these pages:

I’ve got more pages to link, but it’s time for dinner.

The Hip Tracker 3.0 Launches

Hello Fans! We just launched a brand new version of The Hip Tracker and invite you all to check it out. There is one major change from previous version in that this one is private and new users can only gain access if invited by a current user.

This was done to prevent some unwanted users from gaining access to the site – everyone hopefully remembers the hacker incident…

Send an email to trackerinvites@thehiptracker.com if you want an invite. Everyone, except those who hacked us, will be sent an invite.
