Hipfan and roadtrip companion Josh has posted his pics of Das Hips In The Old World @ Fotopic.Net. Josh attended three of the European shows with us – in 2004 he travelled to Detroit and Cleveland with Trevor, Yvan and I on a previous Hip roadtrip.
Hip Fan Ian Narbeth has posted some of his pics from the show at Shepherds Bush Empire on July 7, 2006.
Just posted to thehip.com is a video from last Saturday’s show at Fort York. As the note on the site says, “This will be up for a limited time only.” I guess that this provides some insight into why The Hip/MAv have asked us to hold off on distributing our own recordings? Or does it? What do you think of the video on thehip.com? Do you have any thoughts on their request for us not to distribute fan recordings until the album comes out?
Check out Mike Boon’s Blog for his review of The Hip’s Saturday night show at Fort York. Mike has lots of Hip info scattered throughout his site; check it out and let him know what you think.
Hipbaser “duderoo” has posted pics from the show on Duderoo.com.
The Hip Museum has been updated with info regarding the new songs that the band have performed at shows this summer. Be sure to check it out, and let Stephen Dame know what you think!
Hipfans.com has acquired The Hundredth Meridian. The founder and original host of the site, Jerremy, was unwilling to do it “half-assed” so he put out the request for a new home. The demands of real life were preventing him from giving it the attention it required.
The team at Hipfans.com know what a valuable resource the site is, and couldn’t let this opportunity pass us by. The site is online and files are ready for downloading now. Jerremy is sending the hard drive to me as I type. Once I receive it, the balance of shows will be online.

Classic Rock Q107 in Toronto has a poll on their website giving you the “chance to vote for The 40 Most Influential Classic Rock Guitarists of All Time!”
Although I personally don’t consider The Hip to be Classic Rock quite yet, Bobby Baker is included as a selection.
Now get out there and vote!
